Ledger Cross-Reference

Combining two off-grid facts from your ledger into a deduction that finally lands on the board.

Why it works

Some facts stay off-grid alone, but two of them together often pin something down that neither could on its own.

Trigger

A stall, with two or more unresolved ledger entries that share a term.

Common mistake

Reviewing ledger entries one at a time instead of checking them against each other.

Example

One ledger line says 'turtle is Mina or Theo'; another says 'red house is Mina or Rae.' Together with one more mark, they can pin down more than either alone.
