Rank Boundary Elimination
Reading a comparative clue for the extremes it rules out, not just the comparison itself.
Why it works
If A is bigger than B, A can't be the smallest value and B can't be the largest — both are structurally impossible, independent of anything else on the board.
Trigger
A greater-than or less-than clue, as soon as it is read.
Common mistake
Marking only the direct comparison and missing the two boundary eliminations that come free with it.
Example
'Kendra finished later than Theo' means Kendra didn't finish first, and Theo didn't finish last, on top of Kendra and Theo being different finishers.
