Static/Dynamic Triage

Marking each clue, as you use it, as either fully spent or still waiting on the board.

Why it works

Some clues give up everything on first read; others only pay off later. Knowing which is which turns 'should I re-read this?' from a guess into a fact you already recorded.

Trigger

Every clue, the first time you read it.

Common mistake

Treating every clue as equally worth re-reading, rather than tagging the ones that are genuinely done.

Example

A line through a spent clue, a dot beside one still waiting — by the third pass you are re-reading four clues instead of fourteen.
